Welcome to the first edition of the Adeo Recruitment Insider, your go-to source for all things recruitment and industry insights in the ever-dynamic world of Quantity Surveying at Adeo.
In the Spotlight: Adeo’s Talent Acquisition Success Stories
We kick off by celebrating the success stories for our talent acquisition team. With the edition of Bassirou, Callum and Amanda to the business, January is off to a really positive start. Our new editions are already settling into their respective secondments across the civils space, Amanda is also returning to Adeo for the second time which is testament to the culture here at Adeo. We are excited to monitor their progress and see how they can positively impact their projects over the coming months. Amanda has already received positive feedback from her client, it has only been a week!
Recruitment Best Practices: Navigating the Evolving Landscape
In today’s competitive job market, staying ahead of recruitment trends is crucial. We delve into the latest best practices, from leveraging technology in the hiring process to fostering diversity and inclusion. We lean heavily on our partners to provide the most up to date technology to ensure we can attract and engage with only the top talent that the UK construction market has to offer.
Whilst we recognise that staying up to date with the latest technology is incredibly important to stay competitive, we do respect that nothing quite beats company culture when it comes to not only attracting top talent but retaining them as well. With Adeo growing like never before, we are excited to announce the roll out of private medical cover company wide, the latest addition to our staff welfare package.
Industry Insight: The Current State of the UK Construction Recruitment Market
According to the CITB the UK construction industry is set for a shortfall of workers in the region of 250,000 by 2027, which poses a significant risk to one of the UK’s biggest industries. However, it is not all doom and gloom, especially if you are a Quantity Surveyor! The reason we mention this is that there is a great deal of scope for delays and increased project costs across the board, therefore there will be increased requirement for top commercial support in the coming years. Between now and 2030 there has never been a greater need for projects to finish on time and within budget, I believe that to be a Quantity Surveyor now is not only an exciting occupation, but potentially very lucrative one!
